Thinking Writing

Students today enjoy the connectedness of social networking; it is part of their very being. My goal is to bring my instruction into that cloud to teach the content required in ways that inspire online responsibility and ethics in this new, very public world.

With the interactive, choice-filled technology, students words and videos flow in on-the-spot thinking. Creating concise and creative texts and images requires careful composition. Kids today will become adept at such fluid forays in online thinking, writing, and imaging. They will demand of us the opportunity to learn in such an environment; they want the choices and options. Part of our responsibility is to provide a grounding of their connectivity as they weave their strengths and talents in their choices and networks. We help them connect the millions of dots into a bigger picture, and they will lead us as well.
